About The Course

This course is designed to meet the minimum standard for working at height training for supervisors, assessors or managers in Singapore, as recommended in the WSH (Work At Heights) Regulations 2013 and the Approved code of practice for working safely at height (2011). The aim of the course is to provide learners with the requisite WAH knowledge to manage WAH activities, so that work can be carried out safely.

Course Details Please note that it is COMPULSORY for trainees to wear safety shoes, full pants and long sleeve shirt.

Course Overview:

The aim of the course is to provide course participants with the requisite WAH knowledge so that they can perform their WAH activities properly and safely.

Legal Requirement:

The course is designed by MOM/WSHC to meet the minimum standard for WAH training for supervisors, assessors and managers in Singapore, as recommended in the (WSH WAH) Regulations 2013 and ACOP (Approved Code of Practice for working safely at heights).

Course Outline:

  • Identify relevant Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislations / approved codes of practice / Singapore standards applicable to WAH.
  • Identify and explain the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, competent and responsible persons.
  • Identify hazards, evaluate the risk, and implement control measures for WAH activities.
  • Review the necessary fall preventive / protective control measures for safe execution of WAH activities.
  • Establish, evaluate, review and implement a Fall Prevention Plan.
  • Establish and implement a system for effective monitoring and control of WAH risks.
  • Demonstrate competency in donning, checking and correcting of Individual Fall Protection equipment and responding to a fall emergency.

Target Audience:

Target audience are: Site foreman & Supervisor, Site engineer, safety assessor and manager for WAH activities. The participant who passes the course will be deemed a competent persons for working at height only. It does not replace the other industry / trade specific safety and supervisory training requirements.

Entry Requirements:

WSQ ESS WPLN level 4 and above or equivalent and ability to carry out hazards identification, risk assessment and risk control measures. (Have a basic knowledge of workplace processes, procedures, activities and practices).

Course Duration:

  • 20.5 hours (including 5hours of assessment).
  • Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination
  • Maximum class size: 20 participants for course.

Medium of Instruction:



Upon completion of the course and passing the examination, a Certificate of Successful Completion and safety pass will be issued to all participants.
