Legal Requirement:

This Course is a mandatory training course for individuals who are appointed to supervise the construction, erection, alteration or dismantling and inspection of formwork structures at any work-site. WSH (Construction) Regulations 2007 Regulation 60(3) stipulates that “No person shall be appointed as a Formwork Supervisor in a worksite unless he has received adequate safety and health training to familiarize him with the hazards associated with the construction, erection, alteration or dismantling of the formwork structure and the precautions to be observed.”

  • WSH legislation and Codes of Practice
  • Interpretation of Working Drawings
  • Construction Strength of Materials and Shoring
  • Work At Height and Excavation
  • Inspection of Formwork and Falsework
  • Risk Assessment for Formwork Construction
  • Respond to Failure in Formwork Structure, Fire and Emergencies

Target Audience:

This course is designed for personnel appointed to supervise the construction, erection, alteration or dismantling and inspection of formwork structures at any work-site.

 

Entry Requirements:

Assumed Skills and Knowledge: Workplace Literacy & Numeracy Level 4.
