About The Course


Aim of this course is to provide course participants with the requisite WAH knowledge.This knowledge will enable them to perform their WAH activities properly and safely

Please note that it is COMPULSORY for trainees to wear safety shoes, full length pant and long sleeve shirt.


Course Overview


The Work-at-Height Worker course is to provide course participants with the requisite WAH knowledge that they can perform their WAH activities properly and safely.


Course Outline


  • Identify relevant Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislations /approved codes of practice /Singapore standards applicable to WAH and roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct risk assessment for WAH and implement preventive measures related to WAH.
  • Implement a Fall Prevention Plan (FPP)
  • Demonstrate competency in donning, checking and correcting of Individual Fall Protection equipment and first line response in emergency.


Legal Requirements:

The Workplace Safety and Health (Work At Heights) Regulations was enacted on 1 May 2013, with the key requirements such as Fall Prevention Plan (FPP) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) System coming into effect one year later on 1 May 2014.


Target Audience:

This course is designed for all workers who are required to work at heights. The participants will be taught the hazards and the safe practices of working at height.


Entry Requirements:

100% attendance is required. Latecomers are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWDED into the class. Trainees must bring along one of the following documents (photocopy or original) to be allowed to attend the class;

  • Valid work permit
  • In Principal Approval (IPA) with Passport
  • NRIC / S Pass / Employment Pass

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the course, a safety pass endorsed by Active Synergy Training & Consultancy Pte Ltd will be issued to all participants. The validity of the pass with range from 2 to 4 years depending on the years of working experience in the related industry in Singapore.
